Recently John C. Beale, an ex-senior advisor to the EPA, was sentenced to 32 months in prison. What did Beale do wrong? Well, he lied…a lot.
Since the early 2000’s Beale had been making fraudulent claims to get out of work and get special benefits from the EPA. These cons ranged from claiming to have Malaria so he could get a special parking spot to saying he was doing undercover work for the CIA. He received pay for 2 ½ years of work he didn’t actually do. During his illicit vacations he did things like work on his house, visit family, and he performed “research” on personal projects. All told his horrific behavior cost tax payers $900,000.
This is the same agency that just, while making a major power grab through Waters of the United States Act, released 3 million of highly polluted mine water into Animas River in Colorado. The EPA also claims Clean Power Plan, which will only prevent 0.015°C of warming by 2100 and ravage the economy, must be enacted because we have a “moral obligation” to act on climate change. I don’t know about you, but between John Beale, and all the other fraud at the EPA , they are in no place to be claiming the moral high ground.
