On October 4th the CFACT chapter at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities cleaned up the Mississippi River. It was a brisk, chilly, and windy fall day, but students still turned out to clean up the river and help out the environment. Students found a large variety of litter ranging from pop cans to food wrappers to abandoned construction signs. The students worked hard, left the riverside in great shape!
After cleaning up the river, the students had fun grilling food and hanging out. Of course, the students were sure to pick up the park after the event, and they left the park in better shape than when they arrived. The Mississippi River clean-up was a great activity, and the students are excited for the next big CFACT event.
