November began with a recruitment drive at Georgia Tech, and it was hard to miss us on campus! Set up right in the middle of the commons, students couldn’t help but notice the commotion we generated. We engaged with many passing by and explained our cause. There was plenty of literature to hand out to educate those who were unsure on things like climate change and fracking, and to try to persuade those who disagreed. Our cool t-shirts were on display drawing in quite an audience. Some students were very interested and signed up for more information. Our efforts were led by CFACT activist Max Hill. Max was happy to answer a lot of the questions presented to us. We had really good discussions with the people we engaged. Our goal is to start an official CFACT chapter at Georgia Tech, and look forward to following up with those who left us their information. We can’t wait to carry this momentum over into the next semester!
