Typically, when college students gather around a big screen, it’s to watch a horror flick or maybe the big game. But the students pictured above were watching something far more relevant to their daily lives: CFACT’s documentary, Climate Hustle 2.
Last week, after wrapping up the regular proceedings of his local Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter meeting, president and CFACT Collegian Jude Abernathy of the University of Tennessee hosted a special screening of the CFACT-produced documentary Climate Hustle 2 for a room full of eager students. As the lights dimmed and the movie began, more than fifteen young Americans took their seats and settled in.

Over the next two hours, students heard from leading scientists, academics, and policy experts who challenge the so-called scientific “consensus” on climate change — an invaluable opportunity to expose developing minds to perspectives they’re unlikely to encounter in the classroom.
According to Jude, the event went off without a hitch, and the documentary received enthusiastic endorsements from those in attendance. “There were a lot of funny moments and laughs at some of the features and statistics,” he reported. “The parts with the Hollywood actors and kids exclaiming how awful climate change is were especially ridiculous. I gave a huge shoutout to CFACT as always, and our relationship with TPUSA grew even stronger. It was a great event overall, and I’m very grateful for these opportunities to share with other students the importance of climate realism!”

After the screening, students stuck around to discuss the film and enjoy one another’s company. Thanks to Jude’s hard work and dedication, dozens of young Tennesseans now have a more balanced understanding of the climate conversation.
