CFACT Baylor: Save the Easy Bake Oven!

Save the Easy Bake Oven!

Once upon a time, in 2007, Congress passed a far-reaching law that is scheduled to go into effect in 2011 (this fall)…

This law effectively bans 100-watt incandescent light bulbs from the market.

Incidentally, the Easy Bake Oven you see here runs on 100-watt bulbs.

Now, with all the problems now facing our country, we posed this question: Does Congress really need to go around worrying about whether some little girl uses a 100-watt bulb to cook her favorite snickerdoodle?

We don’t think so. Neither many Baylor students. So, we hosted an event to draw attention to the excesses of the “Green” movement and the miserable consequences of a radical environmentalist agenda.

We launched a campaign to “Save the Easy Bake Oven!”

Students were given a chance to fill out a registration card to win a FREE Easy Bake Oven! The catch? …You guessed it. It runs on the same 100-Watt incandescent bulb that politicians in Washington says you can’t have.
