Carlton Students Clean Up Around Town

With the sun shining in Northfield the CFACT students at Carlton College participated in their annual stewardship day, cleaning an area park and lake front. “CFACT does a lot of good things for our community, and this is just another example,” said one Carlton student. Students gathered together and spent over three hours cleaning and ended up with several bags of trash that otherwise would have gone unattended to.

Even a community member who lived across the street wandered over and joined in. “I saw some students cleaning the park and thought it was a great idea. I ended up grabbing some gloves and a couple trash bags and giving a hand for a little bit,” explained Jake Hunt, who watched from across the street. “Seeing college students taking an active role in beutifying our town is fantastic. I am glad there are groups like CFACT out there doing things to make a difference.”
