Last week, the CFACT – UMN chapter successfully held its 5th annual “Conservative Awareness Week”. During the week, CFACT hosted multiple events including a bbq and conservation river clean-up, capitalism poker tournament, and a civic minded presidential debate watching party. Each event CFACT joined with other groups on campus to bring conservatives and other right-minded students together. At the river clean-up and bbq, over 100lbs of trash was picked up. For the capitalism poker tournament three dozen students showed up for their chance to be in the top eight to win a variety of prizes including the grand prize of a 22″ LCD TV. Lastly, for the debate watching event over forty students came together to cheer and jeer the candidates they liked and did not like while getting a chance to mingle with like-minded students.
