On Monday the CFACT chapter at the University of Minnesota hosted a Global Warming Beach Party. Everyone showed up on summer garb and were ready to have a party in the sun; however, instead of the warm weather (which should have been caused by global warming) they were greeted by a frigid blast or arctic Minnesota weather.
Despite the lack of accommodating conditions, the University of Minnesota CFACT students were unfazed. They started grilling hot dogs and chilling out just like they would have done on a hot summer day. Tons of other students stopped by to see why the CFACT students were partying in such cold weather, and they stayed around to talk and enjoy a quick bite to eat on the way to their next class.
CFACT had an awesome time talking with students and handing out fact sheets. Even though old man winter was an unwelcome party guest, the Global Warming Beach Party was a fantastic event, one the rest of the campus will be talking about for quite some time.
