The University of Minnesota-Duluth chapter of CFACT had it’s first meeting on Tuesday night. Students turned out to learn more about CFACT and how to use free market principles and ideas to help out the environment. The students were very excited for this coming year, and many of them had a passion for the outdoors. Some of their top priorities were environmental education, personal involvement in conservation, and experiencing nature first hand.
It was a fun evening with good conversation, food, and door prizes. The students were particularly excited for several of our upcoming events, such a campus clean up event and proposed camping trips. The students were also interested in having a speaker come to teach them more about the environment. At the end of the meeting everyone was excited for the rest of the year.
