On Sunday October 30th, the CFACT chapter at the University of Minnesota kicked off its first event of the “Lakes Program”. This year the chapter at the U of MN has adopted three lakes to monitor pollution levels, organize lake shore cleanups and actively encourage other students to utilize the lakes for recreation, sport, and conservation. For the kick-off event the students visited Roberds Lake near Faribault Minnesota, where they organized a lake shore cleanup where the collected over 100 pounds of trash.
