CFACT’s National Field Coordinator Omarr Peters gave a presentation to college students in Cleveland, Ohio this past weekend. Invited to a training event hosted by the Leadership institute, Omarr taught students from across the Midwest and Northeast how to become more effective campus activists.

The Leadership Institute is considered the preeminent conservative youth training organization in America. Their founder, a former Ronald Reagan Special Advisor, Morton Blackwell, was the originator of conservative youth activism in the 1960s and 70s. Omarr presented the students numerous examples of how CFACT has taken Blackwell’s principles and refined and adapted them to fit its message regarding energy and the environment. Several students, excited to hear about CFACT’s program, approached Omarr following his presentation to learn more about how they could apply for the Committee’s Driessen Fellows internship program.

CFACT plans to continue its partnership with LI and other conservative/libertarian allies in the effort to win over America’s youth. The Committee’s respected standing amongst the highest echelons of the conservative movement continues to open up new opportunities to reach the next generation.
