CSU San Marcos Passes Out 200 Pocket Constitutions

CFACT California State University, San Marcos passed out 200 U.S. pocket Constitutions on Tuesday November 8th. The group spent about three hours passing the document out to passers by. Many students were happy to receive the document. Several students who stopped by considered themselves constitutionalists and were very happy to see the effort on campus.

Several students asked about CFACT and after learning what we are about, decided to sign up! The event was a great success. A CFACT staffer was on hand for the effort. The group went out for lunch after the event and discussed the importance of restoring a knowledge of the constitution.

Similarly, on Wednesday, November 9th CFACT California State University, Fullerton distributed 200 pocket constitutions to students and faculty. Many of the schools College Republicans stopped by and expressed support. College Democrats took the document but didn’t seem supportive. Several faculty members walked by and sneered at the group. The general student population seemed thankful and supportive. The group is now fundraising to purchase more constitutions. They would like to pass out thousands more. The group chair Michael Lytton indicated that he didn’t feel 200 was enough, considering that there are thousands of students on campus.
