Madison, Wi- UW CFACT held their kickoff meeting last night, September 14. 160 students were in attendance and were pumped up about CFACT this year! This is going to be an exciting year. The new board for UW was elected. ‘I’m really excited for this year, I think that the fact that so many are interested in CFACT this year speaks volumes,’ says newly elected President Alex Hansen. ‘We plan to do some different things this year, while also keeping with tradition.’
Campaign meetings will begin next week. UW CFACT has launched their 5 campaigns focusing on issues like competitive pricing, 2nd amendment and property rights, conservation, cap and trade amongst others.
‘This is my second semester as a campaign coordinator,’ says Peter Herrman, Coordinator of the Campus Conservation(ists) campaign. ‘This year we combined a couple different campaigns into one super campaign, which will focus on getting other students involved in conservation on campus. Whether that’s cleanups, nature walks, kayaking, or recycling programs, our impact on campus will be huge this year. I’m really excited to get this campaign off and running!’
