Laptops to Mexico

Early last week, CFACT at Oregon State University kicked off our nation-wide laptop drive. Students across the country will be urging their fellow classmates, professors and administrators to help children in the small village of Valle Verde by donating laptops or making a monetary contribution. CFACT will be headed to its adopted village just outside of Cancun, Mexico in the upcoming months and, recognizing the importance of technology yet the lack thereof, is hoping to make a difference in the lives of the children by giving them laptops.

OSU was excited to be the first CFACT chapter to start the laptop drive. Ashley Coley, OSU-CFACT chair, said, “I want to table in the quad as often as possible because this laptop drive is an easy way to get CFACT’s name out there while also helping out children in Valle Verde. I already have 3 donations and want to get many more!”.
