The CFACT chapter at the University of Minnesota hosted the fourth annual “Kicked Off Campus Comedy Tour” this year.

The event hosted in “The Whole” club in the basement of Coffman Student Union is a direct response to the growing anti-free speech sentiment on campuses nation wide. Recently, the student paper at the University celebrated the vandalism of a college republican mural and called for restrictions to free speech. University administration has been far more concerned about the feelings of the vandals, offering them statements of sympathy and understanding, and much less concerned about defacement of college republican property.

CFACT is taking these dangerous, anti-liberty sentiments head on with the tour that featured headliner Bryan Miller and 5 aspiring comics who competed for the grand prize.

The comics took on race relations, mental illness, homosexuality and a slew of other topics. Ruth Allen took home the prize and was officially “Kicked off Campus” for her hilarious set.
